Please note that due to the nature of the work contained on this site, both academic and creative, I will have to bore you with a copyright notice.
Basically, I wrote everything on this site – and the copyright belongs to me, in any medium you can think of, in perpetuity.
You may not republish any of this work without my permission, in print, online or even in the form of an interpretive dance. If you approach me and ask for permission I may well just roll over like a little puppy and say “yes, you may publish my lovingly crafted work, as long as my name is attached to it and you don’t change anything”. If it’s a long piece, like an essay, I’ll most likely ask for payment – as writing is one of the things I do for a living.
However, if you republish my work without asking me first, I will
- Firstly, ask you nicely to take it down.
- Secondly, if you don’t take it down, get a solicitor to send you a letter, including an invoice.
- Thirdly, if the invoice and letter are ignored, I will take things further. And we can all guess what that means.
Students. I have a special message for you. If you steal any of my essays, you will more than likely be caught. Plagiarism is very, very serious. Not many Universities will allow you to continue your studies if you’re found out. These days, Universities use special software called “TurnItIn” to detect plagiarism – so far fewer people get away with it. I also periodically search for use of my work myself.
That was cheery!
Anyway, please enjoy the blog.
